Paysage is a project I have made around 10 years ago. Back in the days the flexible display technology began to emerge on prototypes. It got me excited about potential new UXs that could unfold from it. The main objective in using a folding display on a laptop was to improve the ergonomics and eliminate the need of owning a desktop computer and/or a display at home. The intent was to be able to cleverly do all with one machine. Turning a classic 15" laptop to a complete desktop configuration with a 24" screen. As the technology today has matured, I thought it would be a good opportunity to give that concept a refresh. The way we work is evolving towards more flexibility and, therefore, the need for greater versatility between the office and home. This self-initiated project revisits our hardware in order to propose original scenarios touching on some new and current problematics.
